Swiss electric vehicle charging operator Energie 360° has acquired rival Move Mobility, significantly expanding its national charging network and consolidating its position as a leading charge point operator (CPO) in Switzerland.
The acquisition brings Energie 360°’s total charging network to over 24,000 charging points, up from 4,700 previously, and increases the user base by 50,000 to more than 250,000. The company is integrating Move Mobility and its employees into its mobility division, while retaining the independent brand identities of existing entities including Gofast and Swisscharge.
Move Mobility was previously jointly owned by Primeo Energie, Groupe E, and EWB. The transaction, whose financial terms were not disclosed, strengthens Energie 360°’s reach across Switzerland and further supports its commitment to regional development.
As part of the integration, Energie 360° will eliminate roaming fees across its brands from November and introduce improved services targeted at corporate and fleet clients. The company has also secured licences from the Swiss Federal Roads Office (FEDRO) to build and operate fast-charging hubs at around 40 motorway service areas.
Energie 360° CEO Jörg Wild described the merger as a move that “expands our expertise and strengthens Switzerland as a location in all regions of the country.” Daniel Neuhaus, CEO of Move Mobility, said the collaboration would allow both companies to “utilise synergies and further develop our services for customers in a targeted manner.”
The company now claims to operate the most extensive network of public and private charging points across Switzerland. It plans to invest approximately CHF 200 million by 2030 to continue expanding its charging infrastructure, aiming to provide comprehensive solutions for property developers, businesses, and fleet operators.
Energie 360° has a history of early innovation in EV infrastructure, including past projects with supermarket chain Coop and the deployment of the country’s first Type 2 DC fast-charging connectors in 2018.
