Nio has introduced Champion Edition variants of its ET5 sedan, ET5 Touring wagon, and EC6 coupe SUV to commemorate its 2015 Formula E drivers’ championship title. The new trims include visual enhancements and select hardware upgrades, with deliveries scheduled to begin on July 9.
The starting price for both the ET5 and ET5 Touring Champion Editions with a 75-kWh standard-range battery pack is RMB 316,000, reflecting a 6.04 percent increase from the RMB 298,000 base price of the standard versions. Under Nio’s Battery as a Service (BaaS) plan, which allows customers to purchase the vehicle without a battery and subscribe to a monthly rental, the price is RMB 246,000—up from RMB 228,000.

The EC6 Champion Edition starts at RMB 370,000 with a battery included, or RMB 300,000 under the BaaS scheme. Both represent price increases over the standard EC6 model, which starts at RMB 358,000 or RMB 288,000, respectively. The monthly rental fee for the 75-kWh pack remains unchanged at RMB 728.
Nio says the Champion Edition trims feature exclusive exterior styling inspired by the brand’s Formula E race car, including a Moon exterior package with green high-performance brake calipers, matte metal trim, and a Champion Edition badge. The ET5 and ET5 Touring models come standard with 20-inch wheels and nine exterior color choices, along with chassis hardware updates aimed at improving handling precision. The EC6 Champion Edition adds 21-inch wheels and eight exterior colors.

“The Champion Editions not only honor our motorsport legacy, but also offer tangible upgrades in design and driving performance,” the company said in a statement.
Incentives are available for customers who purchase any of the Champion Editions by July 31, including five years of interest-free financing, 240 complimentary battery swaps valid for five years, and five years of free use of the NOP+ driver assistance system. ET5 and ET5 Touring buyers will also receive a comfort package valued at RMB 9,500 and a discount on the carbon fiber package.
Nio has also refreshed several of its core models this year. In May, the company rolled out updated versions of the ET5, ET5 Touring, EC6, and ES6 SUVs, replacing the Nvidia Orin X smart driving chip with its in-house Shenji NX9031 processor and switching from vertical to horizontal central display screens.
