Among its lineup, the X9 multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) sold 3,227 units in May, a 99 percent year-on-year increase and a 35 percent rise from April, the company said. The 2025 version of the X9, launched on April 15 with a starting price of RMB 359,800 ($49,970), is the company’s most expensive model to date. Xpeng plans to launch the X9 in Europe in the second half of 2025, according to Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng.
The company also introduced the Max and Plus variants of its Mona M03 electric sedan on May 28, with starting prices from RMB 129,800 ($18,040). The Max variant features the Turing smart driving system, an advanced driver assistance platform that Xpeng said is comparable to Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) software. “The Mona M03 Max is the first vehicle globally at the $20,000 price point to feature AI-assisted driving across all public roads,” the company said in a statement.
