Electric vehicle manufacturer from China, Li Auto is rumored to be presenting an L9 Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) with various advanced technologies that will debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April.
The Li Auto L9 comes with dimensions of 5,200 mm (204.7 inches), 1,998 mm (78.7 inches) wide and 1,800 mm (70.9 inches) high, with a wheelbase of 3,105 mm (122.2 inches).
The dimensions are almost identical to the BMW X7, and larger than the Li Xiang One which debuted in 2019.
The Li Auto L9 has a similar design to the One, but this car has evolved to be more modern thanks to the flat-looking door handles, wide LED embedding and a sleek look at both ends.
In addition, this car also comes with a bumper that looks modern, and the absence of a grille that makes the L9 look like an electric car. The L9 also comes with roof-mounted sensors for ADAS and a larger rear spoiler, while the adaptive air suspension comes from Weybach.
Inside, the car comes in a six-seater configuration, there’s a trio of 15.7-inch touchscreens â two on the dashboard and one on the roof for the rear passengers.
All six seats have heating and massage functions and the vehicle is equipped with a dual sunroof, ambient lighting, refrigerator and an impressive sound system.
The Li Auto L9 already comes with Level 4 autonomous driving technology thanks to a range of sensors that scan the environment including the roof-mounted LiDAR. In addition, the Li Auto L9 has a strain gauge sensor, five millimeter wave radar, twelve ultrasonic radars and twelve cameras.
The plug-in hybrid powertrain consists of a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that acts as a range extender and an electric motor sourced from Great Wall Motors.
The combined power output of this car reaches 408 hp and 600 Nm of torque, enabling the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in less than 6 seconds.
The Li Xiang L9 is equipped with a large 44.5 kWh battery, offering a range of 200 km (124 miles). With a fully charged battery and a full tank of gas, the combined mileage is 1,200 km (746 miles), far superior to any PHEV available in Europe or North America.
