2nd Battery Production Days (BPD) 2026
The 2nd Battery Production Days will take place in Aachen, Germany, bringing together decision-makers, production managers, engineers, researchers, technology providers and startups from across the battery and automotive industries. The event focuses on the technologies, processes and industrial challenges shaping the future of battery cell production.
The two-day conference and exhibition will explore innovations across the battery manufacturing value chain, from cell production and materials to automation, digitalization, quality assurance, testing, recycling and end-of-life solutions. The program is designed to connect industry and applied research while highlighting technologies that can support efficient and scalable battery manufacturing.
Key topics include innovations in battery cell production, digitalization and Battery Production 4.0, quality assurance, modern factory planning, battery testing and analysis, battery recycling, next-generation battery cells, production automation and the scaling of European battery manufacturing.
The event will also provide networking opportunities for executives, engineers, scientists, technology pioneers and startups working on battery production and industrialization. A startup challenge will give selected emerging companies an opportunity to present innovative solutions to an audience of industry and research experts.
A highlight of the 2026 program is an exclusive tour of the FFB PreFab, Europe’s research platform for battery cell production, providing participants with insights into battery manufacturing research and industrialization.
The 2nd Battery Production Days will be held on October 20–21, 2026, at Manfred-Weck-Haus in Aachen, Germany.
