Tesla has revealed significant updates for its 2025 Model Y with the launch of the Juniper facelift, a refreshed version of its popular electric SUV. Priced at $59,990 before any tax credit deductions, the new Model Y comes with several design and feature upgrades, which Tesla hopes will maintain the vehicle’s strong market appeal.

The Model Y Juniper refresh includes various enhancements aimed at improving comfort, performance, and overall driving experience. One notable feature is the upgraded suspension system, which offers a smoother ride. The seats have been redesigned for added comfort, now with ventilated and heated options, and the rear bench has been motorized for easy folding and reclining, further improving cargo space flexibility.

As Tesla highlighted in a recent announcement, “The front seats now move forward automatically when the rear bench folds to accommodate the headrests, and then slide back to restore passenger space after the movement is complete.” Other key upgrades include a 16-speaker sound system, a more premium interior with better materials, and improved aerodynamics, which boosts the vehicle’s range by 2.8%.

Additional features in the 2025 Model Y include a new front bumper camera with a sprayer to clean debris, a redesigned dashboard with multicolor ambient lighting, and a center touchscreen that is now brighter, more responsive, and has smaller bezels.

The car’s efficiency has also been enhanced, with improvements in the powertrain and a 50% better Bluetooth connection. Tesla has also optimized its battery life with two new wheel designs and introduced a fresh “TESLA” logo on the steering wheel, replacing the rear logo badge.

Despite the absence of updates to the battery or charging speeds, the 2025 Model Y boasts a series of high-tech features such as an 8-inch touchscreen for rear passengers, improved cellular connectivity, and enhanced handling and safety features, including a quieter automatic closing trunk and better protection against door impacts.
