Cadillac’s first-ever all-electric production vehicle, the Cadillac Lyric, made its debut in April 2021. However, it wasn’t until recently that the General Motors brand released an online configurator for the zero-emissions crossover. The release of the configurator couldn’t have come at a better time as the 2024 model year went on sale, with the starting price of $59,590 for the new Tech trim.

The entry-level Tech comes standard with rear-wheel drive and an estimated range of 308 miles, making it an attractive option for those looking for a more affordable electric crossover. In addition to the Tech, the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq is available in two more variants: the Luxury and the Sport.

The Luxury has an MSRP of $62,690 and offers Super Cruise driver assistance and a panoramic power opening sunroof, while the Sport starts at $63,190 and includes an illuminated front grille, body-colored door handles, and Obsidian Chrome and dark accent finishes.

The Luxury also features a Nappa leather pack, an AKG Studio 19-speaker audio system, heated front and rear seats, as well as ventilation and lumbar massage for the front seats. All-wheel drive is available on all models for an additional $3,500, which increases the power output to around 500 horsepower, according to Cadillac.

With almost all the available bells and whistles, a top-spec Lyriq in Sport 3 trim can cost up to $84,340, which is over the $80,000 MSRP cap for the $7,500 federal tax credit. Despite this, the Lyriq remains an exciting new offering from Cadillac in the electric vehicle market.
