After entering the Australian market, Genesis Motors, a car manufacturer that is part of the Hyundai Group, on Sunday (6/11) introduced the Genesis Electrified GV70 which is an electric version of the GV70 for the North American market.
The South Korean car manufacturer also plans to introduce the Genesis Electrified GV70 to the public at the Los Angeles Auto Show which will take place from November 18 to 27, 2022.
Meanwhile, the Electrified GV70 is the first Genesis model to be assembled in the United States and the first Genesis production to be made outside of South Korea.
Meanwhile, production of Genesis electric vehicles at the Montgomery, Alabama manufacturing facility is expected to begin in December 2022.
The company also said that the production of the Genesis Electrified GV70 in South Korea is almost 3,000 units.
In terms of dimensions, the Electrified GV70 measures 4,715 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width and 1,630 mm in height.
The Electrified GV70 is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and has dual motors on the front and rear wheels.
The car manufacturer embeds a 77.4 kWh battery that supports fast charging.
In addition, this electric SUV can cover a distance of up to 400 km (249 miles) on a single full charge.
In terms of powertrain, the Electrified GV70 produces 320 kW (160 kW front and 160 kW rear) and 700 Nm (350 Nm front and 350 Nm rear).
