Ford has frozen orders for the Mustang Mach-E in the US on their website. This order freeze was made due to high demand and applies to all variants.

On the website, the Mustang Mach-E is currently no longer available for retail order. “Limited stock may be available at select dealers. Contact your dealer for more information,” he said.

Ford itself did not provide exact figures regarding the volume of existing orders.

In early March, Ford stopped taking orders for the Mach-E Premium and California Route 1 models. There are fears dealer prices will increase dramatically as was the case with the F-150 Lightning.

In Europe, the Mustang Mach-E can still be ordered despite the high price increase. On Ford’s UK website, for example, the configurator for ordering the Mustang Mach-E is still open.

In mid-December, Ford announced that it would double production of the Mustang Mach-E to meet the high demand from potential buyers.

However, with the semiconductor supply chain crisis, the production speed according to the production target was slightly disrupted. Ford itself targets to produce 200,000 units of the Mustang Mach-E by 2023.
