“The Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX is how we envision the future of electric cars. Just a year and a half ago, we started this project that led to the most efficient Mercedes-Benz ever built – with an incredible energy consumption of less than 10 kWh per 100 kilometers,” said Ola Källenius, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Mercedes-Benz AG.
The electric car has a range of more than 1,000 kilometers on a single charge using a battery that can even fit into a compact vehicle. Ola Källenius adds that the Vision EQXX is a sophisticated car in many dimensions – and even looks stunning and futuristic. When detailed for the Vision EQXX, the advantage is that it consumes less than 10 kWh of energy and can cover 100 km. The drive motor is homemade and can be more efficient 95% of the battery is channeled to the wheels. There are 117 solar panels on the roof to supply energy to the battery for 25 km.
The mileage is more than 1,000 km for a single battery charge. The dimensions of the battery can be inserted into a small vehicle. Claimed to be 50% more compact and 30% lighter than those used in the Mercedes-Benz EQS. The battery itself weighs 495 kg including OneBox.
In addition, the advantages of the build designer aka the designer are able to create the best aerodynamics with wind resistance at 0.17 Cd. The Vision EQXX's wheelbase is 2,800 mm and the total weight is 1,750 kg.
The materials used are recycled, plant-based and low-carbon materials. Then lightweight components for low scrolling and aerodynamics with the use of magnesium rims. Brake discs are made of aluminum alloy.
The Bridgestone Turanza Eco tires used by Vision EQXX are claimed to be very light and environmentally friendly with ENLITEN and ologic technology. The side of the tire has aerodynamic optimization to encircle the 20-inch rim.
As for the interior arrangement, it is beautifully made even though it is made from recycled and bamboo materials. Meanwhile, Mylo is an alternative skin dressing but made from mycelium, which is the root structure of the fungus. And there is Deserttex made from cactus biomaterial.
