ZF has unveiled its latest innovation in the e-bike sector, the ‘ZF Bike Eco System,’ at the Eurobike 2024 trade fair. The system integrates all components necessary for the drive system, including the motor, batteries, control and operating units, an app, and a cloud connection.
The new drive system is designed to simplify the installation process for bicycle manufacturers, offering compatibility with nearly all types of e-bikes. Compared to standard e-drives on the market, ZF’s system requires significantly less effort to install and provides greater design freedom due to its compact form factor.
Daniel Härter, Head of the Micro Mobility business unit at ZF, highlighted the company’s commitment to offering a complete drive system for e-bike manufacturers, stating, “We offer e-bike manufacturers the complete drive system from a single source.”
While ZF did not disclose detailed specifications in its press release, the unveiling of the ‘ZF Bike Eco System’ underscores the company’s dedication to innovation in the e-bike industry.
Eurobike 2024 is scheduled to take place from July 3 to 7 in Frankfurt am Main. ZF will showcase its new drive system at stand A09 in hall 12.1 and at stand I12 in outdoor area F12.
