Zero Motorcycle has just launched a new electric motorcycle, the Zero DSR/X, which is perfect for touring and adventure enthusiasts.
Reporting from Cycle World (18/9/2022), in appearance this electric motor has similarities to the SR/S model. But everything has been updated for on-road and off-road capabilities.
On paper, this electric motor uses a Z-Force 75-10X drive with a mid-drive type. The drive is capable of generating power of 75 kW or the equivalent of 100 hp at 3,650 rpm and a maximum torque of 225 Nm.
With a battery of 17.3 kWh, this electric motor can go up to 75 miles or the equivalent of 120 km at a speed of 70 mph or about 112 kph. Even this motorbike also offers a mileage of up to 290 km for city use.
Combined with a belt made of a mixture of carbon materials, this electric motor is capable of traveling at a maximum speed of 180 kph. Meanwhile, the braking of this electric motorcycle is unique, because it only uses one lever on the right.
Zero DSR/X is equipped with Bosch Motorcycle Stability Control (MSC), technology that helps when driving through various terrains. By using multiple sensors, the technology helps to adjust the acceleration and braking of these electric motors.
Then, Zero DSR/X also only uses one brake lever, because braking uses the eCBS system which is connected via Bosch Motorcycle Stability Control (MSC).
The total weight of this bike reaches 247 Kg. Interestingly, this electric motorcycle made by Zero Motorcycle is also equipped with a ‘reverse gear’ like in a car.
For consumers who are interested, there are two color choices offered on the Zero DSR/X, namely Sage Green and Pearl White. Talking about the price, this electric motorbike is sold with a tag of 27,220 Euros
