Zeekr has officially launched the right-hand drive version of its Zeekr 009 multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) in Thailand, marking the company’s second model introduced in the Southeast Asian market. The Zeekr 009 went on sale on September 24, starting at 3,099,000 baht (approximately $94,760). Deliveries for the new MPV are expected to commence in October, according to the company’s announcement.
This launch follows the introduction of the Zeekr X SUV, the first model offered in Thailand, which began pre-orders on March 25, went on sale on July 11, and saw deliveries starting August 1.
To support its operations, Zeekr has established three stores in Thailand, with two located in Bangkok and one in Pattaya, and plans to expand further into areas like Chiang Mai and Khon Kaen.
The Zeekr 009 was first launched in the Chinese mainland on November 1, 2022, as the brand’s second model following the Zeekr 001, with deliveries starting in February 2023. In January 2024, Zeekr introduced an updated version of the 009, featuring enhancements and a slight price increase.
Additionally, on April 19, the company unveiled the four-seat Zeekr 009 Grand, aimed at the premium segment, catering to business owners and consumers seeking a more luxurious offering.
In July, the updated Zeekr 009, along with its right-hand drive variant, was launched in Hong Kong, providing six- and seven-seat configurations, expanding options beyond the previous six-seat model.
