Yangwang, the ultra-luxury sub-brand of BYD, will display its U9 Xtreme electric supercar at the 2025 Guangzhou auto show, according to several domestic automotive media reports published on Monday.
The auto show, held annually since 2003, will take place at the Canton Fair Complex from November 21 to 30, with the first day reserved for media. Yangwang introduced the U9 Xtreme on September 20 and began taking reservations for a global limited run of 30 units.

The company said the U9 Xtreme achieved a certified top speed of 496.22 km/h at Germany’s ATP test track, which it described as “a world record for production vehicles.” The model also completed a 6:59.157 lap at Germany’s Nürburgring circuit, becoming the first pure-electric production car to break the seven-minute barrier.
Yangwang said the supercar is built on a 1200-volt high-voltage platform, claiming it is the first production vehicle to use such an architecture. It is powered by BYD’s e4 system, featuring four motors rated at 555 kW each, giving the vehicle a combined output of more than 3000 Ps.
