Xpeng has had the interior of its new Mona M03 model revealed through spy photos, which show a design similar to Tesla’s (NASDAQ: TSLA) Model 3. The photos, circulating on the social media platform Xiaohongshu, highlight the Mona M03’s minimalist interior.

The Mona M03 features a large horizontal center screen, similar to the Model 3, and lacks physical buttons apart from two scroll balls on the steering wheel. A small screen beneath the steering wheel appears to display core driving information, akin to current Li Auto models.

This design contrasts with Xpeng’s other models, which have two screens at the front—one under the steering wheel and another at the center.

Xpeng introduced the Mona M03 on July 3, announcing it would be priced under RMB 200,000 yuan ($27,560) with an official launch expected in August. “Mona’s first model, named M03, is meant to honor the Tesla Model 3 sedan,” said He Xiaopeng, Xpeng’s chairman and CEO, at the event.

The M03 measures 4,780 mm in length, 1,896 mm in width, and 1,445 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,815 mm, according to a June 13 regulatory filing. The catalog lists two single-motor variants with peak motor power of 140 kW and 160 kW, provided by Inovance Automotive and Physis Technology.

Both variants are equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries from FinDreams Battery, the battery division of Chinese NEV giant BYD.

Earlier this month, Xpeng also shared more images of the Mona M03’s exterior on its social media channels.

In June, Xpeng delivered 10,668 vehicles, marking a 23.76% year-on-year increase and a 5.14% rise from May, according to data released on July 1. The company delivered 52,028 vehicles in the first half of the year, up 25.57% year-on-year, bringing its cumulative deliveries to 452,339 vehicles.
