Xpeng has officially named its highly anticipated new model, previously codenamed F57, as the Xpeng P7+. The announcement follows the viral circulation of an exclusive rendering on Chinese social media platforms, generating significant buzz over the past few days.

In a recent Weibo post, He Xiaopeng, Chairman and CEO of Xpeng Motors, disclosed key details about the upcoming vehicle. “The new Xpeng P7+ is set to exceed 5 meters in length and promises enhanced technology,” he stated, affirming its place as a focal point of recent discussions.

The P7+ will surpass the dimensions of its predecessor, the P7i, currently available with dimensions of 4,888 mm in length, 1,896 mm in width, and 1,450 mm in height, alongside a wheelbase of 2,998 mm. This upscale size typically correlates with a higher price point, contrasting with the P7i’s starting price of RMB 223,900 ($30,780) in China.

Notably, the latest images reveal that the Xpeng P7+ diverges from some existing models by omitting LiDAR near the headlights, signaling potential design refinements.

According to a spokesperson for Xpeng speaking to CnEVPost, the P7+ represents the culmination of a decade’s worth of advanced technology for the company, aimed at pioneering a new era of intelligence in automotive innovation.

Meanwhile, Xpeng recently introduced the first model in its Mona lineup, the M03, with plans to launch it officially in August at a price point below RMB 200,000. Additionally, the company aims to debut a new B-class all-electric sedan by the fourth quarter of this year, emphasizing a 25 percent reduction in technology costs.

Looking forward, Xpeng targets significant advancements in urban smart driving capabilities by 2025, aspiring to match or exceed current highway smart driving experiences, enabling extended city driving ranges before human intervention is required.
