Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Xpeng has introduced a new variant of its flagship sedan, the P7i, featuring scissor doors and a special limited-time offer.
The Xpeng P7i 702 Max Wing Edition is priced at RMB 289,900 ($40,230), with customers who order before March 31 receiving a discount of RMB 40,000 ($5,550), bringing the starting price down to RMB 249,900.

Xpeng’s model naming convention includes numbers representing CLTC range and letters indicating autonomous driving capabilities. The P7i variants are available in Pro and Max versions, with the Max models featuring Xpeng’s XNGP (Xpeng navigation guided pilot) feature.
Previously, scissor doors were exclusive to the P7i 610 Wing Edition, starting at RMB 339,900. Xpeng had been offering a RMB 50,000 discount on the P7i 610 Wing Edition since January 23, bringing its starting price down to RMB 289,900.
The regular P7i 702 Max starts at RMB 269,900, with a discounted starting price of RMB 244,900.

The P7i 702 Max Wing Edition is a single-motor rear-wheel drive model with 203 kW peak motor power and 440 Nm peak torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds. On the other hand, the P7i 610 Wing Edition is a dual-motor model with 348 kW peak motor power and 757 Nm peak torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.
