Xpeng, the Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer, has officially revealed its latest model, the Xpeng P7+, in China ahead of its market launch later this year. The P7+ is the first vehicle to feature Xpeng’s next-generation autonomous driving platform and offers a range of up to 710 kilometers, the company said.
The Xpeng P7+, a family-oriented electric liftback, was introduced on October 10, 2024, as the latest addition to the brand’s expanding lineup. The vehicle follows Xpeng’s Robo Face design language, featuring an X-shaped front fascia with integrated LED running lights and headlights in the bumper. The rear showcases a single taillight unit, while hidden door handles and a slanted roofline enhance its sleek profile. It is available in five color options: silver, white, black, purple, and beige.
The vehicle measures 5056 mm in length, 1937 mm in width, and 1512 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3000 mm. It is 168 mm longer than the P7i sedan, providing more interior space, according to Xpeng. The P7+ comes equipped with either 18-inch or 20-inch wheels, depending on the variant.
Inside, the P7+ features a 15.6-inch main screen powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip, as well as a two-spoke steering wheel with a gear shifter located behind it. The center console mirrors that of Xpeng’s X9 minivan and includes cup holders and wireless charging pads capable of 50 W charging. The second-row seats are electrically adjustable with ventilation and massage functions, and rear passengers have access to an 8-inch screen and a foldable table.
The P7+ is powered by Xpeng’s new-generation AI Eagle Eye Vision autonomous driving system, which improves perception distance by 125% and recognition speed by 40%, particularly enhancing performance in low-light and challenging weather conditions.
The base model of the P7+ delivers 180 kW (241 hp), while a higher-spec version offers 230 kW (308 hp). The liftback will be available with two battery options: a 60.7 kWh unit providing a 575 km range (CLTC) and a 76.3 kWh battery offering 685 km (CLTC). The energy consumption is rated at 11 kWh per 100 km. Xpeng plans to showcase the P7+ at the Paris Motor Show on October 14, with a domestic market release scheduled for later this year.
