Xiaomi has unveiled a redesigned interior for the updated SU7 electric sedan in China, showing substantial changes to the centre console and cabin materials as the company prepares for an April launch.
Images of the revised interior, released a day after the exterior and technical specifications were disclosed, show that Xiaomi has reworked the centre tunnel area compared with the current SU7. The changes include the removal of the vertical stack of physical buttons, which has been replaced by a smaller, horizontally oriented button layout positioned below the wireless charging pad.

The layout of the cup holders has also been revised, moving from a vertical arrangement on the right side of the centre tunnel to a horizontal configuration in the middle. Xiaomi has added wood trim to the centre tunnel, giving the cabin a more premium appearance, and introduced a redesigned wireless charging pad with a new layout and an aluminium divider. The updated design does not include active cooling for the charging area.
The images also reveal a new “Dark” interior theme, featuring revised leather upholstery that appears more upscale than before. Xiaomi has also updated the steering wheel controls, adopting a cleaner layout with aluminium-style buttons on each side and removing several smaller buttons used in the previous design.

The interior refresh follows Xiaomi’s filing of the updated SU7 with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology earlier this week. The SU7, launched in March 2024 as Xiaomi’s first production vehicle, has been a key part of the company’s expansion into the automotive sector.
According to the information released alongside the images, “the updated Xiaomi SU7 will launch in China in April, priced between 299,900 yuan and 309,900 yuan,” reflecting a move upmarket as Xiaomi enhances the model’s interior quality.
