Xiaomi has officially opened preorders for its high-performance electric vehicle, the SU7 Ultra, through its website. Customers can select their preferred dealership for the preorder process.
Goldman Sachs has projected that the SU7 Ultra will start at approximately $112,500. The tech giant is set to launch the vehicle officially on October 29, alongside its 15 series smartphones.
The SU7 Ultra, a modified upgrade variant, was first unveiled as a high-performance prototype in July 2024. According to Lei Jun, the founder of Xiaomi, the vehicle is designed to compete on Germany’s NĂŒrburgring race track.
It is expected to achieve a top speed of around 217.48 mph, boasting an impressive 1,548 horsepower and an acceleration time of approximately 1.9 seconds from 0 to 60 mph.
Xiaomi’s SU7 Ultra will utilize CATLâs Qilin fast-charging battery, allowing it to fully charge in under 12 minutes. The SU7 model has already seen considerable success in the Chinese auto market and has garnered recognition internationally. Notably, Ford CEO Jim Farley recently expressed his admiration for the SU7, stating that he had a unit flown from Shanghai to Chicago and had been driving it for six months.
