Xiaomi is broadening the availability of its Electric Scooter 5 Plus across Europe, with the model now officially on sale in France and Italy following its launch in the UK in late August. The expansion highlights the company’s efforts to strengthen its position in the region’s competitive e-mobility market.
The Electric Scooter 5 Plus is priced at €549.99 in both France and Italy, placing it above the entry-level Electric Scooter 5 and the mid-range Electric Scooter 5 Pro, but slightly below the flagship Electric Scooter 5 Max. French customers are being offered a 10% promotional discount, reducing the price to €494.99. By comparison, the Electric Scooter 5 currently retails at around €409.99, while the 5 Max is listed at €579.99 at Xiaomi’s Mi Store in Germany.
The 5 Plus comes equipped with a 400W motor delivering up to 900W peak power, enabling a top speed of 25 kph and the ability to handle inclines of up to 20%. It is powered by a 477.4 Wh battery that provides a maximum range of 60 km per charge. Riders can select between three operating modes — Pedestrian, Standard and Sport — to adjust speed and performance according to different conditions.
In terms of design, the model offers improvements aimed at enhancing ride comfort, including taller handlebars and a wider deck than its siblings. Additional features include 12-inch tubeless tires, a front shock absorber, a traction control system, dual braking, smart headlights and brake lights, and Bluetooth connectivity via the Xiaomi app for ride monitoring and management. The scooter weighs 26.6 kg and can be folded for easier transport and storage.
