The Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ is claimed to have a cruising range of up to 700 km on a single full charge. In terms of design, the Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ AMG Line has a more attractive appearance with AMG touches on several exterior parts.
The front fascia looks so striking with a three-pointed star patterned grille printed with a 3D technique, while the air inlets are placed in the bumper parallel to the large air intakes on the sides.
The interesting thing that we can find on the exterior of the EQS 450+ is the frameless design throughout the door windows and door handles that are immersed in the body similar to the S-Class style. Meanwhile, the AMG touch on the EQS 450+ can also be seen from the 21-inch alloy wheels with a silver multispoke style.
The body design is also made more dynamic with a number of aerodynamic line strokes in several parts. Even with the design of the EQS 450+, it has the best aerodynamic level in its class with a drag coefficient of 0.20, better than the Tesla Model S.
Indeed, in terms of dimensions, the Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ has a resemblance to its cousin, the S-Class. On paper, the EQS450+ is 5,216 mm long with a width of 1,926 mm and a height of 1,512 mm, but the manufacturer makes a relatively short tail. So that makes it look more like a hatchback or liftback than an electric luxury sedan. However, the trunk space is still able to accommodate three large golf bags at once.
Turning to the cabin, we are immediately greeted with a Hyperscreen that stretches from the driver’s side to the front passenger. There are three screens that are divided into cluster meters, feature settings and entertainment services such as music playback, navigation and smartphone connection wirelessly. The screen is supported by the latest MBUX software and can also be operated via voice commands.
Meanwhile, the elegant feel typical of Mercedes-Benz can also be felt right away from a number of leather materials that cover all parts of the cabin, starting from the door trim, seats and dashboard. The interesting thing about the EQS 450+ seat is that it can adjust the sitting position automatically according to the rider’s height. In addition, features such as heating and massage chairs have become standard in the EQS 450+. There is also a panoramic sunroof service that can be operated with voice commands or hand gestures.
In terms of performance, the Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 108 kWh which functions to drive the rear wheels. The battery is capable of producing a maximum power of up to 330 hp with a peak torque of up to 540 Nm linearly. Even on paper, the Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ is capable of exploring up to 770 km on a single full charge.
The interesting thing about the Mercedes-Benz electric car is that the bonnet or hood can only be accessed by authorized technicians from the manufacturer. The reason is, under the hood of the machine there is a high-voltage electric motor that can endanger consumers. Meanwhile, to fill the wiper water, there is a panel on the left front of the body and can be opened by pressing the button.
