Interestingly, the VOLT City EV electric car has specifications that are quite competitive with the Mini EV or even the Wuling Air ev Standard Range. Starting from the variant, the VOLT City EV is available in two body options, namely For-Four and For-Two.
The City EV For-Two body has the most compact body dimensions with a length of 2,920 mm, a width of 1,499 mm, a height of 1,610 mm and a wheelbase of 1,980 mm.
The For-Four is the largest body variant of the City EV which has dimensions of 3,380 mm in length, 1,499 mm in width, 1,610 mm in height and a wheelbase of 2,440 mm.
As the name suggests, the For-Two can only accommodate two passengers while the For-Four can accommodate four passengers.
Uniquely, unlike the Mini EV or Air ev, the City EV For-Four has a passenger door in the second row which will certainly make access easier.
Regarding performance, this cute electric car is available in two power options depending on the body variant.
For the For-Two, City EV gets a rear-wheel drive electric motor that produces 30 kW or 40.2 hp and 90 Nm of torque.
As for the For-Four, City EV comes with a slightly more powerful motor, namely 34 kW or 45.5 hp and 102 Nm of torque.
In addition to the electric motor, the City EV’s battery capacity is also adjusted to body size with a choice of 11.8 kWh for the For-Two and 16.5 kWh for the For-Four.
The City EV claims that it can cover a distance of 165 kilometers for the For-Two and 210 kilometers for the For-Four according to the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).
Of course, with a small battery, City EV also has the advantage of a relatively short charging time.
The City EV battery is claimed to be fully charged for 5.5-6 hours through charging AC current with a power of 3.1 kW.
