Vietnamese automaker VinFast has revealed the official EPA range ratings for its highly anticipated VF9 three-row electric SUV, showcasing impressive figures that surpass initial expectations. The VF9, a full-size, seven-passenger, all-electric SUV, is poised to make a splash in the electric vehicle market with its remarkable performance and competitive pricing.

In an official statement, VinFast announced that the VF9 boasts an EPA range of 330 miles in the Eco trim variant, and an equally commendable 291 miles in the Plus trim version. These ratings have garnered significant attention, as they position the VF9 among the top contenders in terms of battery range, solidifying VinFast’s commitment to delivering competitive and high-quality electric vehicles.

VinFast’s Global CEO, Le Thi Thu Thuy, expressed the company’s dedication to offering excellence, stating, “VinFast always strives to bring high quality products, reasonable prices, and outstanding aftersales services to our consumers globally. The VF9’s 330-mile battery range is among the best on the market, confirming our efforts and dedication to produce competitive vehicles.” The VF9 is set to complement the VF8 model as VinFast’s offering in the North American market this year.

The VF9, which stands above the mid-size VF8 in VinFast’s lineup, has already made its debut in the company’s domestic market, where deliveries have commenced. VinFast has slated the fourth quarter of this year for the initiation of VF9 deliveries in North America, marking its entry into the competitive US market. The VF9 is open for reservations worldwide, further emphasizing the global ambitions of the Vietnamese automaker.

Under the hood, the VinFast VF9 boasts a dual-motor electric powertrain, generating a robust maximum output of 300 kilowatts (402 horsepower) and an impressive maximum torque of 457 pound-feet. This power translates to a swift 0-62 mph acceleration in just 6.5 seconds. The electric SUV derives its power from a 123-kilowatt-hour battery pack, which exhibits rapid charging capabilities—achieving a charge from 10 to 70 percent in a mere 35 minutes through a DC fast charger.

In terms of advanced features, the VF9 comes equipped with an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), including the Highway Assist Level 2 driving assistance, alongside essential functionalities such as Blind Spot Detection, Smart Parking Assist, and Smart Summon Mode. Furthermore, the VF9 offers a suite of intelligent utility and entertainment applications, aptly named Smart Services, which receive regular updates through over-the-air (OTA) software updates.

Designed by the renowned Pininfarina, the VF9 combines a sleek and aerodynamically optimized exterior with a modern and versatile interior. The cabin features a customizable 15.6-inch touch screen, cutting-edge technologies, ambient lighting, and premium vegan leather finishes.

VinFast’s commitment to customer satisfaction is evident through its impressive warranty offerings for the VF9. The vehicle is backed by a 10-year/125,000-mile warranty, while the battery boldly enjoys an unlimited mileage warranty for the same duration. Furthermore, VinFast extends its support through mobile repair and rescue services during the warranty period, ensuring a comprehensive ownership experience for VF9 owners.

As VinFast readies itself to introduce the VF9 to the North American market, the company’s strategic blend of performance, technology, and customer-centric services is poised to make a notable impact in the competitive electric SUV segment. With its remarkable EPA range ratings and a host of advanced features, the VF9 stands as a testament to VinFast’s dedication to innovation and excellence in the electric vehicle landscape.
