PEAR developed by Fisker is one of the fantastic EV projects. The public wants to know the final outcome of this project because the manufacturer promises an EV that can reach all audiences at an affordable starting price of $29,900.
After a long silence, the manufacturer finally gave good news, namely that they would soon release PEAR in prototype form later this year.
PEAR itself stands for “Personal Electric Automotive Revolution”, and Fisker describes the PEAR as a sporty and agile crossover for urban environments. It’s about 177 inches long, or slightly shorter than small EVs like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Volkswagen ID.4, and seats five.
Interestingly, from this latest info it is also revealed that there is a ”Houdini Trunk” in PEAR. What is Houdini Trunk? the Houdini’s trunk is described as an alternative to the traditional rear cargo hatch.
Fisker PEAR became the first EV to introduce the Houdini Trunk concept. Like a hiding place for the famous magician, Houdini, the PEAR cabin is specifically for metropolitan-style consumers to store lots of items by changing (adjusting) the driver’s seat.
Buyers can choose between a single-motor rear-wheel drive configuration or a dual-motor all-wheel drive arrangement. They will also be able to choose between two batteries, with the large (Hyper Range) option targeted to provide a range of over 310 miles. The available panoramic roof with solar panels will help extend coverage.
It is very interesting to wait for Fisker PEAR to be released at the end of 2023. Moreover, the public is also interested in this EV, it is recorded that it has managed to get 3,200 orders. This small crossover starts at $37,499 and will start production in November.
