This Nissan Leaf is equipped with 4 driving modes, namely D Mode, B Mode, ECO Mode, and B + ECO Mode.

What are the functions and differences of each driving mode in this Nissan Leaf?

D Mode provides the most maximum or responsive driving performance. The second driving mode on the Nissan Leaf is B Mode or Brake Mode.

This mode when active will strengthen the Nissan Leaf’s regenerative braking ability. So it can provide more electricity to charge the Nissan Leaf lithium ion battery.

The third mode is ECO Mode, this is to save the use of electrical energy in the Nissan Leaf. This means that the power output of the electric motor is limited to save energy and the ability of the regenerative brake is increased to extend the mileage.

The final driving mode on the Nissan Leaf is B+ECO Mode. This mode is to maximize the use of electrical energy savings in the Nissan Leaf.

Here the ability of the regenerative brake is set to the maximum plus the limitation of the power output of the electric motor. Energy saved can reach about 30%.

Nissan Leaf uses an EM57 electric motor that can produce 150 hp and 320 Nm of torque combined with a single speed gear reduction transmission.

For charging the battery using a cable with a battery charging capacity of 6.6 kWh and has 2 speeds, namely fast charging DC current (CHAdeMO) and AC current (Type 2).

Nissan Leaf is equipped with active safety features such as Intelligent Around View Monitor, Forward Emergency Brake, and Forward Collision Warning.

Other safety features include 6 airbags (2 in front and 4 on the side), seatbelt pretensioner, electronic parking brake, ABS brakes, Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), and Brake Assist (BA).
