UK charge point operator evyve has selected Monta to power the management of its public electric vehicle charging network across the United Kingdom, as it scales up deployment of rapid and ultra-rapid chargers.

Under the partnership, Monta’s operating platform will be rolled out across evyve’s existing network of about 350 charge points. The agreement includes charge point management software covering backend operations, driver-facing payment solutions and roaming functionality, enabling real-time monitoring, automation and operational control.

The companies said the integration will allow evyve to improve operational efficiency and maintain high reliability and uptime as usage of the network increases. Reliability has become a central challenge for the UK’s public charging market, where operators face growing pressure to ensure availability and interoperability across different networks.

“Selecting the right technology partner was critical to our growth strategy,” said James Moat. “Monta’s end-to-end platform gives us the operational efficiency, scalability and reliability we need to deliver on our promise of fast, dependable charging for drivers across the UK,” he said, adding that real-time monitoring would support expansion while maintaining service standards.

Jon Evans said the UK charging sector faces mounting challenges around uptime and performance. “By partnering with evyve, we are bringing together a forward-thinking operator to meet these demands, enabling a consistently dependable charging experience,” he said.

evyve is developing customer-focused charging hubs at retail and leisure destinations, business parks and roadside locations. The company aims to expand its network to around 1,000 rapid and ultra-rapid charge points across the United Kingdom by 2028.
