TA, known for its red, white, and blue logo, has long been a familiar stop for road-trippers and truckers. With the increasing adoption of electric vehicles, the company aims to expand its services to meet the changing needs of drivers.

“Today marks a significant milestone in our journey to bring new forms of energy to our customers as we support their changing mobility needs,” said Debi Boffa, CEO of TravelCenters of America. She also reassured traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle drivers, stating, “Rest assured TA will continue to provide the same safe and reliable fueling options it has offered for over 50 years, regardless of the type of fuel.”

The Jacksonville location not only provides fast charging options but also features amenities such as restrooms, a convenience store, and dining options like Popeyes and Subway. Some TA centers also offer Wi-Fi and pet-friendly spaces, making them convenient stops for EV drivers. BP Pulse Americas CEO Sujay Sharma emphasized the strategic importance of the new hubs, saying, “These sites are strategically located across key highway corridors, offering en route charging when and where customers need it most, while providing convenient amenities.”

This collaboration marks the first of several planned charging hubs as both companies work to expand their EV charging networks and support the growing demand for sustainable mobility solutions.
