The next generation of the Alfa Romeo Giulia will be fully electric

Alfa Romeo CEO, Jean-Philippe Imparato, said there will be a next generation of the Alfa Romeo Giulia which is a sedan competitor to the BMW 3 Series. The next generation of the Alfa Romeo Giulia will be fully electric.

“We are not abandoning the Giulia. There will be a future Giulia, and it will be an electric-only model,” he said.

The Alfa Romeo Giulia will still be around. However, it was only a matter of time before its internal combustion engine was discontinued.

Alfa Romeo itself has announced that it will become an EV brand from 2027. The Alfa Romeo Giulia will last for several years with petrol and diesel engines before the next all-electric generation arrives.

Alfa Romeo had hoped the Tonale would be a driving force in its quest to get back to selling more than 100,000 vehicles a year.

The target may be achieved as early as 2023, doubling the 2021 milestone when 52,000 vehicles are delivered to customers.
