In November 2021, GAC introduced their electric SUV Aion LX Plus. GAC has now started selling their electric vehicles.

The GAC Aion LX Plus offers a range of more than 1,000 KM. That maximum range comes via extended range mode despite having the same battery size as the base LX model.

GAC claims the Aion LX Plus is the longest-range production vehicle in the world. This capability is thanks to a 144.4 kWh battery pack with an energy density of 205 Wh/kg.

The top version of the GAC Aion LX Plus offers a NEDC range of over 1,000 kilometers (1,008 kilometers to be exact) and will also include a silicon sponge anode.

This Aion LX Plus variant will go on sale with prices starting from 459,600 Yuan in China. The Aion LX Plus is currently available for purchase and test drive.

With the new launch, GAC will compete with companies such as NIO, Tesla, Wuling, Tesla, XPng, and Lucid which are the main players of electric vehicles in China.
