Tesla, the innovative electric vehicle and clean energy company, has announced its Manufacturing Development Program (MDP) aimed at high school graduates. The program offers participants an opportunity to kickstart their careers at Tesla by providing them with the necessary resources, coursework, and experience. The program is open to students residing in California, Nevada, New York, and Texas, where the company has major facilities.
The MDP program is quite comprehensive, as it offers students the chance to gain financial resources, training, and experience required to qualify for a job at the company.
Tesla stated that the application process for the program is straightforward. After submitting their application, students participate in a series of information sessions and interviews. Successful applicants are then invited to a signing day celebration where they will receive an offer to join the program.

Students who complete the program’s requirements, which include specific courses at local colleges, receive a Tesla Advanced Manufacturing Certification. They can then apply for full-time positions as a Production Associate at Tesla’s Fremont Factory, Giga Nevada, Giga New York, or Giga Texas. The company offers a competitive salary, benefits, and ownership of TSLA stock to program participants.
The MDP program has proven to be a significant opportunity for students interested in a career at Tesla. Justice Fevella-Potes, a member of the MDP’s 2019 class and now a Level 3 Process Engineering Tech at Tesla, said, “MDP allowed me to grow, and my brother is now part of the program.” These words highlight the advantages of the program and how it provides students with opportunities to grow and develop their careers.
