Tesla’s Latest Deal: Free FSD Transfer and Lifetime Supercharging for Model Y and Model 3 Highland Buyers

In a strategic move to bolster Q1 delivery figures, Tesla is introducing an unprecedented bundle of incentives for Model Y and Model 3 Highland buyers. Between February 4 and March 31, purchasers of any Tesla vehicle within this timeframe, including the newly launched Model 3 Highland, can take advantage of a complimentary Full Self-Driving Beta (FSD) transfer along with a lifetime Supercharging offer.

This marks the first time Tesla is combining free FSD transfers and lifetime Supercharging with existing incentives, encompassing inventory vehicles, federal and state tax credits. The cumulative effect brings the base price of a Model Y to potentially under $30,000.

For instance, a new Tesla Model Y Long Range could be acquired for approximately $37,490 after factoring in federal and inventory incentives. Buyers can then transfer their FSD option and enjoy complimentary lifetime Supercharging. This remarkable offer, which would have seemed implausible just a year ago, aligns with Elon Musk’s recent acknowledgment of a potential sales slowdown, indicating Tesla’s concerted efforts to maximize Q1 delivery performance.

To qualify for the free FSD transfer, certain conditions must be met:

  1. Be the legal and registered owner of a Tesla vehicle that currently has FSD Capability purchased outright at the time of delivery of your new Tesla vehicle and at least 48 hours after.
  2. The vehicle cannot be the subject of a pending cancellation or buyback request or have any delinquent liens or balances.
  3. Accept the forfeiture of the FSD Capability on your current Tesla vehicle or trade it into Tesla when you purchase your new Tesla vehicle. Tesla will remove the FSD Capability from your current Tesla vehicle within 48 hours after delivery of your new vehicle.
  4. The FSD Capability will be added to your new vehicle up to one week after delivery of said vehicle. You understand that you may be without FSD Capability during this period.
  5. The forfeiture of FSD Capability on your current vehicle cannot be reversed, even in the event that the new vehicle is deemed a total loss or you cancel or reverse the purchase of your new vehicle after delivery.
  6. In such an event, FSD capability’s value will be assessed at its original purchase price unless mandated otherwise by law.
  7. The FSD Capability can only be transferred this one time.
  8. This offer is not redeemable for cash, and cannot be assigned to another person or vehicle.
  9. Used vehicles and vehicles used for commercial purposes are not eligible for this program.
  10. Those on an Operational Lease with third-party Lease and Fleet Management companies are also ineligible.

This exclusive offer is available to Tesla owners in the US, Canada, and Mexico, with the free Supercharging for life incentive limited to US buyers. Notably, all Tesla Model Y versions in the US are eligible for an immediate full $7,500 tax credit discount at the time of purchase, positioning their pricing competitively with or below that of the new Model 3 Highland.

  1. I’m pretty sure this is incorrect. It’s not “complimentary free supercharging”, it just allows you to transfer free supercharging (and FSD) from a Tesla you already own IF if currently has free supercharging.
