Tesla’s Cybertruck Spotted at Giga Texas Wind Tunnel Ahead of Production Launch

Tesla fans and automotive enthusiasts alike have been eagerly awaiting the production launch of the highly anticipated Cybertruck. After a long production hiatus, it appears that Tesla is finally concluding its testing and regulatory work on the vehicle, as it was recently spotted at the Giga Texas wind tunnel.

The video of the Cybertruck at the Giga Texas wind tunnel, which was initially reported on Twitter by Giga Texas expert Jeff Roberts, has since gone viral on numerous other social media sites. While the drone footage, unfortunately, doesn’t provide a clear view of the truck’s design, we do get a slightly better picture of the vehicle through AI image upscaling.

One interesting aspect of the video is the testing environment itself. Typically, automakers use a wind tunnel as a protected space where the vehicle can be rolled in and shielded from outside conditions. In this case, however, the wind tunnel machine can be easily identified by its wide air intake and compressor tunnel pointed toward the Cybertruck.

Although it remains unclear what specific testing Tesla is conducting at its wind testing facility, it appears that the automaker has arrived at the final design for the Cybertruck. The vehicle seen in testing looks identical to the one shown in Tesla’s recent crash test video.

However, it should be noted that only half of the truck is visible in the video and no air direction tags are seen, which would typically indicate that the company is confirming air flow and turbulence around the vehicle. As such, any hypotheses regarding what testing Tesla is conducting would be purely speculative at this point.

Regardless, with the Cybertruck now closer than ever to production, Tesla fans can look forward to finally getting their hands on this highly anticipated vehicle later this year.
