Tesla’s Cybertruck Nears Full-Scale Production as New Video Emerges

In a recent leak shared on the Tesla CyberTruck Facebook group by user Chane Eckert, a video showcased a pre-production Tesla Cybertruck being manually assembled on the floor of the company’s Gigafactory in Texas. The footage offered a glimpse of the yet-to-be-finished electric truck, surrounded by Tesla employees actively contributing to its assembly.

Unlike the automated assembly lines used for other Tesla passenger vehicles, the Cybertruck was observed being moved on a trolley from one section of the factory to another. The video indicated that certain aspects of the vehicle, such as its interior and windshield, were already installed. However, the doors and other bolt-on body parts were noticeably absent, likely awaiting further fitting of interior pieces or accessories beneath the bodywork.

This manual assembly approach is commonly employed by major automakers to work out any issues before transitioning to fully automated production for customer deliveries.

During Tesla’s Q2 2023 Earnings Call, it was revealed that the all-electric pickup was currently in the pre-production phase at Giga Texas. The company remained optimistic, with plans to initiate initial customer-intent production later in the year.

Tesla’s Cybertruck is highly anticipated and holds the distinction of being the first sub-19 feet truck with four doors and a bed longer than 6 feet, as stated by the company. The vehicle’s unique design and engineering have garnered significant attention since its unveiling in 2019. However, the COVID-19 pandemic caused delays, pushing the original production timeline by almost four years.

Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, expressed overwhelming demand for the Cybertruck, further raising excitement for its eventual release. As development progresses and the vehicle inches closer to full-scale production, enthusiasts eagerly await the day when the futuristic and angular truck hits the roads.
