Tesla has reintroduced a discount for customers with early Cybertruck reservations, offering a $1,000 reduction on the purchase or leasing price of select models. The promotion, initially presented as a year-end special for Cybertruck reservation holders, has been officially reinstated, with the offer valid for those taking delivery by March 31.

In messages sent to early Cybertruck reservation holders, Tesla conveyed, “Tesla: You loved it, so we brought it back.” Eligible customers can receive a $1,000 discount on a new Model Y, Model S, or Model X when ordering and taking delivery by the end of March. Tesla encouraged recipients to schedule a demo drive to initiate the process.

Tesla frequently introduces limited-time promotions to stimulate sales. Recently, the company also reintroduced the option to transfer the free lifetime Supercharging perk to new vehicle buyers, applicable for deliveries by the end of March.

Initial deliveries of the Cybertruck have been gradually rolling out since Tesla’s Gigafactory Texas event on November 30, where a limited number of trucks were delivered. The launch edition “Foundation Series” Cybertruck units have been handed over to employees, celebrities, and some regular customers in the subsequent weeks.

Production of the Cybertruck at Giga Texas has been scaling up, and Tesla anticipates reaching volume production within the next 12 to 18 months. During Tesla’s recent 2023 earnings call, executive Karn Budhiraj noted that, given the current reservation-to-order conversion rates, the 2024 production builds of the Cybertruck are expected to sell out soon.
