Tesla Recalls 14.684 Model 3 in China Due to software issue that could have caused a crash

is recalling 14,684 Model 3s in due to a issue that could have caused a crash. The recall applies to both imported and locally made Model 3s in China, the country’s market regulator said Friday.

The recall was made for the Performance produced from January 2019 to March 2022. 1,850 were imported vehicles and 12,834 were made at , according to a statement from the State Administration for Market .

This recall is the second in April this year. In early April, Tesla recalls 127,785 Model 3 Due to Rear Motor Inverter Problem. This problem can cause the inverter to not be able to control the current properly so that it can damage the motor.

This recall applies to cars that do not show units for speed numbers under Track Mode. This situation could mislead drivers and lead to collisions in extreme circumstances, regulators said.

Tesla’s car deliveries for the October-December 2021 period were up about 70% from a year earlier and nearly 30% higher than the previous quarter’s record deliveries.
