Tesla has reintroduced a popular incentive, offering three months of free Supercharging for buyers of new Model S, Model 3, Model X, or Model Y vehicles delivered by August 15, 2024. This move, typically rolled out towards the end of a quarter to spur sales, comes unusually early in Q3, indicating Tesla’s proactive stance following a robust Q2 delivery report.
Announced via Tesla North America’s official communication, the offer aims to incentivize timely vehicle deliveries, though the exact timing remains contingent on logistical factors beyond customers’ control, such as delivery location and specific vehicle configurations.

While all vehicle variants currently indicate delivery estimates spanning from July to August, potential customers are advised to consider regional logistics, particularly for those far from Tesla’s production centers in Fremont and Giga Texas, influencing delivery timelines.
Despite the time-sensitive nature of the offer, Tesla notes that missing out on the incentive, valued at approximately $500 for average usage depending on Supercharger rates, may not significantly impact prospective buyers. The offer could hold greater value for users maximizing Supercharger usage during the promotional period.
In addition to the free Supercharging initiative, Tesla is extending the option for existing owners to transfer their Full Self-Driving (FSD) package to a new vehicle until September 30, 2024, as part of broader sales enhancement efforts.
