Tesla has commenced sales of early Cybertruck units in the United States and is looking to expand its availability to Canada soon, according to Rohan Patel, Teslaās Vice President of Public Policy and Business Development.
In a post on X on Saturday, Patel expressed confidence that the Cybertruck would be sold in Canada, stating, āthereās no doubtā about its availability. He also mentioned that he hopes the necessary paperwork for its Canadian launch ācan be wrapped up soon.ā

The announcement comes on the heels of the conclusion of the Canadian International Auto Show, where the Cybertruck and other Tesla vehicles were showcased. Tesla has also been displaying the Cybertruck at showrooms in British Columbia, Quebec, and Ontario.

The confirmation is likely to be well-received by Canadians eager to order a Cybertruck, particularly as enthusiasts in other markets speculate about the vehicle’s availability, considering potential regulatory hurdles.
While Tesla has been showcasing the Cybertruck in countries like China and Japan, there have been challenges regarding its road legality in certain regions. CEO Elon Musk has suggested that making the Cybertruck road legal in China would be difficult. Similarly, Tesla Vice President of Vehicle Engineering has indicated that the Cybertruck’s design, particularly its protruding edges, could pose challenges for it to be approved for European markets.
