As the November 30th delivery event for the Tesla Cybertruck approaches, the electric vehicle manufacturer is leaving no stone unturned in the quest for the perfect interior design for their eagerly awaited all-electric pickup. Recent aerial footage captured by Joe Tegtmeyer, a devoted follower of Tesla’s Gigafactory in Texas, sheds light on the company’s experimentation with various interior options.
Among the glimpses provided by Tegtmeyer’s drone video, it is evident that Tesla has explored a semi-white interior concept. This design choice features white door panels and a partially white dashboard, offering a departure from the all-black interior seen in several release candidate units. Such an interior variant may cater to those who find an all-black cabin too monotonous.
While the interior showcased in the drone video introduces a white contrast, the seats of the Cybertruck remain black, setting it apart from the Model Y crossover, which offers a white seat option, a white dash trim, and a white headliner. Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, previously emphasized that the Cybertruck would be a utilitarian vehicle, which could explain the decision to retain black seats, possibly to conceal stains and smudges more effectively.

This isn’t the first time that a pre-production version of the forthcoming electric truck has surfaced with a black and white interior. During Tesla’s annual shareholder event in Texas back in May, an individual had the opportunity to explore the Cybertruck’s cabin, providing a brief yet detailed look at its interior. Notably, this included a revised steering wheel, which combines elements of both a yoke and a traditional wheel.
The aerial photographs capturing Tesla’s interior experimentation come shortly after an up-close encounter with a matte black Cybertruck, driven to a cars and coffee event in Malibu by none other than Tesla’s design chief, Franz von Holzhausen. These intriguing developments continue to build anticipation for the upcoming Cybertruck delivery event, with Tesla leaving no detail unexamined in its pursuit of perfection.
