A Tesla Cybertruck was seen in Florida last week with drivers reportedly testing the Full Self-Driving (FSD) software, in anticipation of the company’s launch of the feature for the electric pickup.

Chuck Cook, a known figure in the Tesla community for his FSD videos and unprotected left turn tests, spotted Tesla advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) operators testing the software with the Cybertruck on Thursday. This sighting comes as Tesla has been progressively rolling out FSD v12.5, with the Cybertruck expected to receive this version.

During a virtual speech at the X Takeover event in California last Sunday, CEO Elon Musk stated that the Cybertruck would receive FSD in the next “two to four-ish” weeks, contingent on the testing outcomes. Tesla has begun deploying FSD Supervised v12.5, initially to HW4-equipped Model Y vehicles, before a broader rollout to other models.

In recent weeks, Tesla has also released FSD v12.5.1 and v12.5.1.1, though the software has not yet been expanded to HW3 vehicles. Musk indicated that this expansion is anticipated to occur this week.

Musk previously mentioned that the Cybertruck was the “lowest priority for FSD” due to its relatively low volume compared to other vehicles in Tesla’s lineup. Despite this, Tesla has been increasing Cybertruck production at its Gigafactory in Austin, Texas, and began offering test drives for the vehicle a few weeks ago.
