Tesla has unveiled its first major software update for the Cybertruck, aimed at refining various aspects of the electric pickup truck’s performance, handling, and charging capabilities.

Despite commencing deliveries several months ago, Tesla has faced criticism for the Cybertruck’s incomplete software, particularly regarding the absence of certain Autopilot features.

The latest software update, labeled 2024.2.3, represents a significant step forward in addressing these concerns. According to the release notes provided by Tesla, the update introduces notable improvements to handling and charging functionalities.

In terms of handling enhancements, Tesla promises a more consistent response on diverse road surfaces and increased comfort on challenging winding roads, especially in Sport Mode or when Custom Ride & Handling is configured to Focused. Additionally, the update aims to minimize pitch and body roll when operating in Off-Road Mode.

Tesla has dedicated substantial efforts to optimizing the Cybertruck’s suspension system to deliver a comfortable ride across various conditions, including different load capacities, towing scenarios, and both on-road and off-road environments.

The software update also brings advancements in charging efficiency, with Tesla highlighting the vehicle’s ability to adapt to the power output of each DC charging station. This adaptive feature aims to enhance battery preconditioning during navigation to a charger, optimizing the charging process for increased efficiency.

Beyond these key enhancements, the update includes additional improvements and features. However, many of these additions appear to mirror those introduced in previous updates, such as the “Tesla Holiday Update” and recent smaller updates for other Tesla vehicle models.
