The Tesla Cybertruck unexpectedly graced the Electrify Expo in Austin, Texas, delighting attendees at the electrification conference over the weekend. Social media posts from the event operators showcased the distinctive Cybertruck driving around the Electrify Expo on Saturday, generating buzz among enthusiasts.

The Expo’s official Instagram account briefly live-streamed the Cybertruck’s entry, providing a glimpse of the futuristic electric pickup in action. Although the stream was limited, a subsequent post shared the video for a wider audience. The conference team’s X account also shared moments featuring the Cybertruck’s presence.

Anticipation for the Cybertruck’s appearance had been teased in a Friday post, revealing the vehicle at the Austin Circuit of the Americas. On Saturday, the Cybertruck took a lap around the event, captivating onlookers for approximately 20 minutes, as indicated by the full-length video.

Several videos captured during the Expo highlighted the Cybertruck’s powered tonneau cover rolling up while in motion, suggesting alternative controls for opening and closing beyond the bed controls.

The Electrify Expo, culminating its U.S. tour with the Austin festival, is a prominent seven-event electric vehicle (EV) conference. Commencing on Friday and concluding on Sunday, the EV meetup aligns seamlessly with the Cybertruck’s appearance, given its production proximity at Tesla’s Gigafactory Texas.

This surprise showing precedes Tesla’s highly anticipated Cybertruck delivery event later this month. Martin Viecha, Tesla’s Head of Investor Relations, confirmed on Friday that the attendee list had been finalized following an invitation raffle. The recipients of these invitations remain undisclosed at the time of this writing, heightening the anticipation for the Gigafactory Texas event.

The Cybertruck had previously made an appearance at the Circuit of the Americas last month during the Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix, where Tesla CEO Elon Musk and his son X Æ A-12 were spotted attending the event.
