Tesla is preparing to introduce several new products in 2025, including a more affordable electric vehicle (EV) expected to launch in the first half of the year, Chief Financial Officer Vaibhav Taneja said.
âWe will be introducing several new products throughout 2025. We are still on track to launch a more affordable model in the first half of 2025 and will continue to expand our lineup from there,â Taneja stated.

Tesla was previously expected to unveil a prototype of the lower-cost EV, informally referred to as the Model 2, alongside its autonomous Cybercab. Unlike Teslaâs robotaxi-focused design, the Model 2 is expected to feature a traditional steering wheel, allowing for manual driving. Analysts have speculated that the vehicle could be a scaled-down version of the Model 3.
The automaker has not disclosed details on other upcoming products, though CEO Elon Musk has previously floated ideas such as a Tesla van and a dedicated HVAC system.

âFrom a dollar-for-dollar basis, we believe we have the most compelling lineup today compared to the industry, and it will continue to get better from here,â Taneja said. âAs always, all our products come with the best software in the industry, [and] autonomy features, and [are] capable of full autonomy in the future. And despite the premium experience, the total cost of ownership is close to market, less premium competitors.â
