Tesla has rolled out a new update to its mobile app, introducing additional offline functionalities and enhanced Powerwall tracking features. The latest version of the app is now available on Apple’s App Store, with several useful improvements for Tesla owners.
According to the release notes, the update allows specific vehicle commands to be executed offline when the user is near their Tesla. While it’s not yet clear which commands work without an internet connection, it could provide added convenience. For those in close proximity to their vehicle, basic functions like unlocking the doors and accessing the trunk or frunk could be especially useful.

Tesla’s update also includes the option for users to add their favorite commands to iOS 18’s Control Center, offering faster access to key functions.
Beyond these listed features, Tesla has introduced a new power meter for Powerwall and PowerShare owners. Tesla software engineer Alex Guichet shared that the app now tracks how close Powerwall users are to reaching their maximum power capacity during outages.
This functionality allows homeowners to monitor and adjust their energy usage in real-time, helping to prevent overloading and extend the duration of backup power during outages.
