Technotrans Secures Major Order for Customized Charging Cable Cooling Systems from Unnamed German Tech Provider

German company Technotrans has announced that it has secured a major order for more than 1,000 customised charging cable cooling systems, but the commissioning party remains anonymous. The deal is worth in the single-digit-million-euro range, according to the company. Technotrans will supply the cooling systems to an unnamed “leading German technology provider”. A majority of the systems will be installed in the US, with only some in Europe. The order seems to be a follow-up to a previous one.

Technotrans’ e.cool charging cable cooling system enables High Power Charging (HPC) without efficiency losses over an extended period. The system is directly integrated into the charging station, allowing for slim cooling cables, the company said in a statement.

“It is only when we realise short charging times, similar to the refuelling of vehicles with combustion engines, that the complete changeover to electrified vehicles can succeed. As a consequence, electromobility as a whole will gain in attractiveness,” said Michael Finger, spokesman of the Board of Management at Technotrans.

Technotrans states that it customised the e.cool charging cable cooling system to the OEM’s specific demands. Commenting on the order, Finger said: “We are delighted to receive this significant order for our e.cool technology from a leading German technology provider. The order confirms our status as a technology leader in cooling systems and our ability to meet the individual needs of our customers.”

The demand for e-mobility has grown rapidly in recent years, with governments and businesses worldwide looking to reduce carbon emissions. In turn, this has led to increased demand for charging solutions. As a result, Technotrans’ e.cool technology is well-positioned to meet the growing demand for efficient and effective charging solutions.
