Swytch has officially announced the upcoming release of its Swytch Go e-bike conversion kit, set to redefine the market with its compact design and budget-friendly pricing. This new addition to the Swytch product line is expected to be notably smaller than the company’s existing conversion kits tailored for both standard and folding bicycles. Despite its reduced size, the Swytch Go boasts a potent 250W motor, delivering a top speed of 15 mph (~24 kph) and an impressive range of up to 20 miles (~32 km).
Continuing its tradition of innovation, Swytch has seamlessly integrated the motor into the front wheel of the e-bike, which is compatible with wheels over 26 inches in size. A unique feature of the Swytch Go is its two-piece pedal sensor, ensuring a harmonious synchronization between the motor’s assistance and the rider’s pedaling power. One noticeable departure from previous models is the placement of the power pack, now securely mounted to the bike’s frame or luggage rack using Velcro fastening. This marks a departure from the older kits that featured a handlebar-mounted battery with a clip mechanism.

Swytch claims to have achieved a reduction in manufacturing costs for the new kit through a simplified design approach. However, it’s worth noting that this enhanced affordability may come with a trade-off, as the Swytch Go will be compatible with a narrower selection of bicycle models.
Enthusiasts can look forward to the launch of the Swytch Go e-bike conversion kit next spring, with an enticing price point of under £500 (~US$611). For those eager to secure their Swytch Go, the company is currently accepting pre-orders from customers on the waitlist until September 30, ensuring delivery upon the product’s official release. Additionally, Swytch is actively seeking investment support to facilitate the smooth production and availability of this innovative e-bike conversion kit.
