Sony-Honda Afeela EV to Start at $89,900, Higher Trim at $102,900

Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida revealed at CES 2025 that the Afeela EV, developed in partnership with Honda, will have a starting price of $89,900.

A higher trim level will be available, starting at $102,900. Both versions of the four-door all-electric sedan will come with a three-year complimentary subscription to certain features and functionalities.

Reservations for the Afeela have now opened, with a refundable $200 fee required for customers in California.

The Afeela brand combines Honda’s manufacturing expertise with Sony’s advanced infotainment and software capabilities. While the early concept showcased at CES 2023 featured unconventional elements such as a movie theater-like display, plush seating, and a yoke-style steering wheel, the production version will likely be more conventional, with expected additions such as door handles.

However, the integration of sensors and screens, alongside software and hardware synergy, will remain a central feature of the vehicle. Further details about the Afeela will be revealed during a separate press conference at CES.
