During its annual figures presentation, Skoda provided a glimpse of its upcoming entry-level electric SUV priced at 25,000 euros. Named the Epiq, this Skoda variant of the VW ID.2 X is set to redefine the current Skoda design language.
Scheduled for a 2025 debut, the Epiq’s design study measures 4.10 metres in length, promising a spacious interior and up to 490 litres of luggage capacity. While technical specifications are still under wraps, Skoda hints at a range exceeding 400 kilometres, along with front-wheel drive borrowed from the VW ID.2.

Skoda’s CEO Klaus Zellmer highlighted the Epiq’s appeal, stating, “The coming Škoda Epiq will package a lot of car for an attractive price and a big interior with a compact size. Our customers want choices, which is why we are expanding our growing e-mobility portfolio into this popular segment.” He added, “I hope these first design teasers demonstrate that the Epiq will shine because of its modern design, everyday range and user-friendly technologies – all of it affordable.”
The Epiq’s design features a “sculptural bonnet” with Skoda lettering instead of the brand logo, a “Tech-Deck Face” in glossy black, and striking LED daytime running lights. Skoda’s Head of Design, Oliver Stefani, described the design as “the next level of modernity,” blending smart functionality and practicality with attractive new looks and sustainability.
