Known for his larger-than-life presence, Shaq required a vehicle that could comfortably accommodate his size, and the standard four-door Lucid Air was not up to the task. So, he turned to West Coast Customs, a renowned customization shop famous for its celebrity designs, to transform the luxury sedan into a sleek two-door coupe.
The custom Lucid Air, which Shaq shared on Instagram with the caption, “When you’re 7’1″, you’ve got to do things your own way,” is a standout creation, reflecting his personality and needs.

West Coast Customs, known for previous high-profile projects including those for Kylie Jenner, Justin Bieber, and even a Range Rover for a member of the Dubai royal family, worked their magic to ensure the car suited Shaq’s towering frame.
While Lucid Motors has faced slower-than-expected sales, the brand has seen some growth in 2024, delivering over 7,100 vehicles in the first half of the year—surpassing last year’s total of approximately 6,000 deliveries.
With the launch of the new Gravity SUV and a high-profile, personalized vehicle for Shaq, Lucid is hoping to generate more buzz and increase demand as it continues to expand its offerings in the electric vehicle market.
