Segway has launched the E3 Pro electric scooter globally, expanding its mid-range lineup with a model that builds on the E2 Pro with notable improvements in performance and range.
The new e-scooter is designed to balance portability with upgraded power, featuring a lightweight frame and a minimal two-tone design.
The E3 Pro is powered by a 400W motor with an 800W peak output, capable of a top speed of 20 mph (32.1 kph) and climbing inclines of up to 18%.
The scooter now carries a larger 368 Wh battery, compared with the 275 Wh unit in its predecessor, delivering up to 34 miles (55 km) of range in eco mode. Charging the battery from empty to full takes around seven hours.
At 40.1 lbs (18.2 kg), the new scooter is slightly lighter than the E2 Pro, which weighed 41.4 lbs (18.8 kg), while retaining a maximum payload capacity of 265 lbs (120 kg). When unfolded, the scooter measures 45.9 x 22.2 x 48.6 inches (1165 x 563 x 1235 mm).
Segway has added a series of safety and comfort enhancements to the E3 Pro, including SegRide Stability Enhancement, traction control, a dual suspension system, and a braking setup combining a front drum brake with a rear electronic brake.
The scooter also comes with IPX5 ingress protection, 10-inch jelly tires for smoother rides, and a 4W headlight. A 3-inch LED display, Apple Find My integration, and 256-color RGB ambient underglow lighting round out its feature set.
The E3 Pro is priced at $699.99 and is already available on Segway’s official website. As part of an introductory promotion, the company is offering $100 off, bringing the launch price down to $599.99 for a limited time.
